With the growing use of technology comes an increasing need for fire suppression systems which can protect computer equipment in computer rooms. Water based systems are obviously out of the question, since these would cause corrosion and destroy the equipment just as surely as a fire would do.
Cease Fire offers two products to address this problem. It’s all about choice. As we’ve written in our article on the room integrity test, a gas based system requires an airtight room and sometimes high certification fees. But if you want to go that route, we offer stand-alone gas systems which require no pipes. Everything is contained in the unit, allowing you to set up a very flexible system.
If you don’t want to bother with the room integrity test in your computer room, our patented CFF800 dual agent system is for you. Our dual agent systems use both gas and powder surfactant to extinguish fires. The gas quickly extinguishes the fire and the non-toxic powder coats the room with a thin layer of dust to prevent re-ignition.
When you use the dual agent system, you don’t need to have an airtight computer room. Windows and doors can be open and the system will still extinguish fires, and meet building codes. Also, while it seems too good to be true, we often are able to save our clients a lot of money, since our systems are significantly cheaper than our competition.
We are the only company in the world that manufactures dual agent fire suppression systems. If they interest you, get in touch with us! We’d love to hear from you.
